WRGS specializes in planning and design of water supply wells for water utilities, and large developments throughout Texas. We evaluate the hydrogeology of the area, work alongside licensed engineers to complete plans and specifications, acquire TCEQ approvals, and oversee the construction of the well. We stay involved through bidding, construction, and final TCEQ approval.
WRGS provides plans and specification, TCEQ approvals and construction oversight to rehabilitate your failing well. Well rehabilitation is often a fraction of the cost of drilling new. We diagnose the problem first — whether it's iron bacteria, plugged screens, sand production, or casing damage — then design a targeted rehabilitation program to restore your well's yield. We manage everything: downhole video surveys, specifications, contractor bidding, and on-site oversight during the rehabilitation work.
WRGS has completed water supply studies within all of the major and most of the minor aquifers throughout the State of Texas. A water supply study allows the client to understand the potential for success of their groundwater supply project and the expected well yield and water quality.
The study identifies the best locations for a well based upon a hydrogeologic evaluation of the area. This is a cost savings because it provides a better idea of costs and budgeting for the project prior to drilling a well.
Water supply studies are also completed for land developers needing to acquire platting of their subdivision. WRGS completes the Certification of Groundwater Availability for Platting Form as required pursuant to Title 30, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 230.
We also provide groundwater modeling services. Construction of groundwater models to determine the impacts of a water project or determine water availability have ranged from small-scale well sites to large-scale multi-county groundwater models. We have also run the State of Texas Groundwater Availability Models (GAMs) for various aquifers for groundwater permitting purposes.
Well drilling and multi-well or single well aquifer testing provides the data necessary to calculate the hydraulic characteristics of an aquifer.
Combined with water quality testing and other site-specific field exploration programs these data are necessary to make informed decisions about a water resources project.

Kaveh has over 26 years of experience in the water resources industry. He has a B.S. and M.S. from The University of Texas at Austin. He founded WRGS in 2002 to provide a high level of hydrogeological services to clients in Texas. Kaveh has planned hundreds of public supply wells throughout the State of Texas for utilities and engineering firms including large scale well fields and has conducted thousands of groundwater studies and investigations. He is a Past President of the Texas Ground Water Association - Groundwater Sciences Division and is also a licensed fixed wing pilot through the FAA. In his free time Kaveh enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and two dogs and raising Texas Longhorns on their ranch in the Hill Country of Texas.
Andrew Worsley serves as Vice President and Senior Staff Hydrogeologist at Wet Rock Groundwater Services, bringing more than 12 years of experience with the firm. His expertise includes groundwater modeling, aquifer testing, and groundwater availability studies. Throughout his career, Andrew has supported a diverse range of clients, including municipal utilities, agricultural operations, oil and gas companies, developers, and groundwater conservation districts across Texas. Andrew studied at Baylor University, where he developed a strong foundation in environmental science and hydrogeology. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and spending time outdoors with his dogs.
