Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

The results of many of our services are best communicated by utilizing GIS to provide a graphical interpretation of our results.  Our team can build and manage a database for your every need from a groundwater monitoring network to a water utility's infrastructure consisting of pipelines, buildings, storage tanks, meters and billing to easement acquisition.

We represent clients before various state and federal agencies who require studies, reports or plans prior to issuing permits for a water resources project.  This includes acquiring permits from a Groundwater Conservation District to drill a well or acquire water rights permits.  We have also been involved in acquiring and purchasing water rights for our clients from other landowners or entities.

Wet Rock Groundwater Services provides expert witness testimony in the field of hydrogeology for many different clients including litigation in:

·         Disputes over well construction;

·         Groundwater rights permitting;

·         Water quality and source water origination;

·         Groundwater modeling; and

·         many other cases involving the field of hydrogeology

Test well drilling and multi-well or single well aquifer testing provides the data necessary to calculate the hydraulic characteristics of an aquifer.  Combined with water quality testing and other site specific field exploration programs these data are necessary to make informed decisions about a water resources project.  Our professionals have designed and conducted numerous aquifer exploration and testing programs and will work with you to complete a plan that is cost effective and provides the required answers.  We will design the testing plan including providing specifications and contract documents, bidding to qualified contractors and in field oversight during the testing program.

Well rehabilitation is a cost effective way to increase your water supply by increasing the well's production rate of the well or bringing it back to where it was when the well was first drilled.  Well rehabilitation includes repair of damaged wells, acidization to increase yield, iron bacteria and plugged screens and sand production problems.  Our professionals have experienced countless issues that have arisen with wells.  We will work with you to first identify the problem either by completing a downhole video survey or other means.  Our professionals will design a well rehabilitation program including plans and specifications, contract documents, bidding to qualified contractors and in field oversight during the well rehabilitation to ensure it it being conducted per the plans and specifications.

Services

Wet Rock Groundwater Services is a specialist in the planning of public water supply wells.  We have constructed plans for a large number of wells each year for clients throughout the State of Texas in just about every major and minor aquifer in the State.  We can help the client in evaluating when a water well would be needed based upon capacity and demand projections.  Wet Rock’s well plan includes a complete hydrogeologic evaluation of the area, the completion of plans and specifications with submittal and approval to the TCEQ with an engineer’s seal (Engineering seal acquired with a registered Engineering Firm).  Wet Rock will also acquire any permits necessary including groundwater district permits.  The complete process includes overseeing the bidding process and aiding in the contract with the well driller.  Once a contract is accepted we will oversee the construction of the well and acquire final approval from the TCEQ (if necessary) to put the well into service.  Wet Rock Groundwater Services offers superior well services and designs the well specific to the client’s needs and to the local area.

Permitting, Water Rights and Expert Testimony

Wet Rock Groundwater Services, LLC has completed water supply studies within most all of the major and minor aquifers throughout the State of Texas.  A water supply study allows the client to understand the potential for success of their groundwater supply project and the expected water quality.  The study identifies the best locations for a well based upon a hydrogeologic evaluation of the area.  This is a cost savings because it provides a better idea of costs and budgeting for the project prior to drilling a well.  Water supply studies are also completed for land developers needing to acquire platting of their subdivision.  Wet Rock Groundwater Services, LLC completes the Certification of Groundwater Availability for Platting Form as required pursuant to Title 30, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 230, Sections 230.2 through and including 230.11.

We also provide groundwater modeling services.  Construction of groundwater models to determine the impacts of a water project or to determine water availability have ranged from small scale well sites to  large scale multi-county groundwater models.  In addition, we have also run the State of Texas' Groundwater Availability Models (GAMs) for various aquifers for groundwater permitting purposes.
